Hello I have to step away for a few minutes to deal with an emergency situation (yes traumatic), but the Exodus program is impressive, I know that participants must feel like they are in a sanctuary, and experience less trauma as a result of being enrolled in Exodus!
Andrea from Exodus CTI (She, Her)
01:13:36
Thank you Brenda. We wish you the best with your emergency

Just FYI—A best-selling book that explains how trauma is remembered by the body is the book written by Bessel Van Der Kolk called “The Body Keeps the Score”.

Counseling is provided by an MH licensed clinician and is the same service in HRM and MH?
Frances (DOHMH, she/her)
01:40:55
Hi everyone, we'd be happy to take questions about program services and components after the presentation. We can definitely answer the questions about counseling then.

I have an observation. Not all the clients in MH had a mental health diagnosis. I would think the clients would not be able to attend the MH program without a diagnosis
Karen McKinnon (she/her)
01:49:04
I have a few questions: When you characterized something as higher/lower, was that based on a test of statistical significance? For service utilization (Slide 10), can this be broken out by race/ethnicity (esp. given prior data presentations related to VLS being signficantly lower for people with SMI diagnoses and especially for those with SMI who are black)? Also were tests of significance run for differences in units of service comparing all RWPA with those receiving BH services?
Karen McKinnon (she/her)

Thank you!

I appreciate seeing the payor of last resort info and the role of Medicaid/State health systems—it remains a problem that we don’t have a window into those systems to know how well those folks not receiving these services through RWPA are faring.

Thank you, very interesting work shared today!
